Mike and I went to Six-Flags last week for a 1/2 day incentive from the office (unfortunately it was hardly enough time to do much). We had a good time but boy it was hot! It was funny because we both kept track of how much time we spent in line, verses the time we actually spent on each ride. It was like 1 hour wait for every 1 minute of ride time. Now I know why I don't care for those places. It's like we paid $10 for every ride! Not to mention how much money we had to spend on food (since we didn't want to haul in a big bag of stuff).
In the end, Mike and I realized that we'd much rather just spend time together at the pool, or at a park. Less money, no crowds, less heat-exhaustion, less time driving there, and no lines. :) The end.

Hey Rachel, I just wanted to say hi to you and Mike! Looks like you guys are having a crazy time doing summer sales! We did it last summer, it sure is a different lifestyle, but a great experience. I'm glad you're both doing well. And I agree, amusement parks are so expensive!
ReplyDeletehahahaha wait till you add kids in the mix! then you won't even be able to go on the fun rides because you have to wait in line for the kid rides as well as having to deal with your crying, hungry, hot children who need to use the bathroom!
