Teaching is wonderful.
Teaching something I love is even more wonderful.
I feel so lucky to have a job doing something I love.
What a blessing.

I've been thinking a lot about dance, and about what makes a good teacher.
There are so many methods, so many styles, so many students.
Sometimes I feel discouraged about my abilities.
Sometimes I feel like I have nothing to teach.
Nothing to offer them.

But then there are the days when I see improvement, understanding, and enthusiasm.
Those days make everything worth it. I often tell myself,
Those days make everything worth it. I often tell myself,
"all I want is to give these students a greater appreciation, understanding, and love for dance."
I know I probably won't change the "world of dance,"
nor will I likely have an incredibly great influence in it.
That's okay. I don't need worldly recognition.

That's okay. I don't need worldly recognition.
All I want is for these students to improve.
I want them to learn something new.
I want them to become stronger.
I want them to develop a greater appreciation for their bodies.
I want them to love to dance.
I want them to learn something new.
I want them to become stronger.

It's so good there are teachers out there like you Rach. I am sadly not one of those who enjoys teaching nor do I have the gift of teaching, but the dance world needs teachers like you who want to share their love and passion with others. I'm sure your students can see your love of dance. I bet you're a wonderful teacher.
