So I just want to add a few of my thoughts on the epideral... For me it wasn't even an option, I was getting an epideral ha. And I am glad I did. Unfortunately they didn't get it in me until I was dilated to a 7. So I think I could have gone natural and wouldn't have felt too much more pain, as far as the contractions go. Cohen was perfectly fine, aware and healthy with the epideral and my dosage wasn't too high so I could still feel pressure from the contractions and knew exactly when to push. I feel like I was able to enjoy the delievery more than I would have if I were in the amount of pain I was before the epideral. Since contractions are the worst pain I've ever felt, I'll definitely get an epideral with the next. But I do think our bodies were made to have babies and generations before us were fine without epiderals. Goodluck with what you decide to do :)
