Things to remember about Curtis this past week:
-How much he slept. He slept all the time.
-He sleeps 3 hours at a time at night. He wakes up to eat at 3am and 6am.
-He is the most relaxed baby. He is so trusting.
-He has the most darling pouty face when he doesn't want to nurse anymore.
-He is the best "burper" baby! He could win a burping contest for sure.
-He makes a little smile face when he poops. It's so cute and so funny.
-He would eat all day if I let him, and then he'd throw it up. If he eats too much he vomits.
-He doesn't spit up unless he's eaten too much.
-He still has the hiccups at least once a day. He had them daily in the womb.
-He doesn't cry when he wakes up. He grunts and wiggles until I pick him up.
-He is a snuggly boy. He loves to be held and snuggled.
-He has the most beautiful eyes and the cutest little chin.
-He loves walks outside, and riding in the car.
Things to remember about the week:
-Crying daily for no reason. I've never been so sensitive.
-Having wonderful help from family and friends
-Falling flat on my back while holding Curtis. Scared me to death.
-Feeling SO much better after hitting the "week" mark. I feel almost back to normal.
-Down to 158 lbs, 28 to go.
-I miss my husband. It was really hard to have him go back to work. I look forward to weekends SO much!
-I can sit all day and hold Curtis without feeling one bit lazy.
-I don't care half as much about having a spotless house.
-I've almost forgotten how it feels to be pregnant. It's almost like I never was.
-Nursing is so much better. I have to use the shield, which is annoying, but it works.
-Nursing doesn't hurt half as much as people warned me it would. I really enjoy having that bond with Curtis.
-I'm still not ready to take him around big groups of people. I get too overwhelmed and I miss holding him.
Having a baby has changed my life, but I wouldn't change it back for anything.
i am so glad everything went smoothly. curtis is so adorable in the pictures, i can only imagine how sweet he is in person! you and mike are going to be so great. enjoy this next week as well :)
ReplyDeleteSo good to record all those little things you want to remember! He is adorable! I am glad you are doing well. I would love to come and see him sometime while we are here visiting!
ReplyDeleteOh Rach, I'm glad its not just me! ha ha I only occasionally have a soptless house because as soon as things get cleaned up my little monsters decide to trash it again! ha ha
ReplyDeleteI think it is more important to have good relationships with your children than to fret over the state of your house.
You're an AWESOME MOM!!! LOVE YOU!
