Dear Curtis,
You are nine months old today! Only three months before you are a whole year old. Wow. You have grown up so much this past month, and we often look at you and are amazed at how much we love you and how much you are changing. You are not our little newborn anymore. You are our little boy.
Here are a few things that happened this month:
-Your 9 month stats were: 20 lbs 3 oz, 28 inches, and 18 inch head circumference. The doctor never tells us what percentile those numbers are in, but you're healthy and that's all that matters.
-You are crawling everywhere and getting into everything. We've had to relocate a lot of things because you like to get into them.
-You are pulling yourself up to stand. If we hold out our hands you will crawl to us, grab our hands, and stand yourself up. We can't believe how big and strong you are!
-You love to eat. We started giving you finger foods this past month. You finally figured out how to get them from your tray into your mouth.
-You know how to say mama, dada, and baba, and you make lots of other sounds with your tongue.
-Since it has been warm for a few days this month we have taken you outside in the grass. You like to pick the grass and look at it in your hands.
-If we say "aaaaah," like we are screaming, you will start to roar and come "attack" us. It is a fun game.
-You are close to clapping, but not quite yet.
-You STILL don't have any teeth. But, I think I can see something coming through, and you have been extra cranky this past week. We're hoping it's because of teething.
-You are getting more and more laughy. You like to giggle when we make silly sounds and faces.
We love you Curtis! You make our lives so wonderful! We (still) can't imagine life without you.
Love,
Mom and Dad
He's such a cutie! I can't believe how fast time goes by with our little ones. It's fun to compare what's the same and different development wise with our babies. My 9 month isn't crawling yet like Curtis, but he has 2 teeth and has been picking up finger foods for a while now. It's just interesting how different kids can be. I love reading your blog Rachel, and I hope you're enjoying your summer time home being a fabulous mommy!
