Ten Months

Dear Curtis,

You are ten months old! Ahhh! Let's just slow down time, okay? I tell you everyday not to grow up anymore, but so far you are being very disobedient and you are growing up even faster with every passing day! Curtis, you are so loved. I know we tell you that all the time, but it's true. You mean the world to Dad and me.

As is the tradition, here are some of the things that have happened this past month:

-You have a tooth! Yeah! It popped up while we were in Georgia visiting your friend Trenton. It's your middle bottom right tooth. The one next to it is breaking through and about to pop out any day.
-You have really loved being able to discover new things. You are very interested in how things work, and you often will spend a lot of time looking at something and figuring it out.
-You can wave "hello" and "bye-bye," and you mimic most sounds we make.
-You are a very pleasant little boy. Generally speaking, you are most often happy and content.
-You are standing up and walking around all of the furniture. I really think you could walk soon if you wanted to, but so far you seem a little to scared to try and stand alone. But that's okay. I'm not in any hurry for you to walk, because that will mean that you're growing up even more!
-You love food. Even if you have just eaten, the minute you see us eating something you have to have some too. Hopefully you get over this phase or you'll have to start watching your figure!
-You are our social chairman. You smile, wave, and look at everyone you pass. You are quite a charmer.
-You have become an excellent napper. For the first few months of your life I always put you in your swing while you napped during the day. Last month you were finally too big for your swing, so we started putting you in your crib for naps. You didn't have any problem adjusting to naps. In fact, you consistently take two, two hour, naps every day. Usually around 11-1, and around 3-5.
-You are a great sleeper. You've always been a good sleeper, but it's been even better this last month. We usually put you to bed at 8:30 and you sleep until 8 or 9am. Yes, you are a dream baby.
-This month was the last month of nursing. You let me know that you were ready to wean, and I feel like it was great timing.
-You make Dad and me laugh hysterically almost every day. You have some really funny faces and sounds that are just about the funniest things we've ever seen.

Thank you for spending your days with me Curtis! You have been the best little buddy any mother could wish for. I love you!

-Mom
