As of July 17th, Mike and I have been officially home in Utah. It's a fairly long story as to why we're home. Most importantly we just really felt like it was time to come home. We came for my best friend Amy's wedding on July 10th, and that weekend we just really knew we needed to come home. We also found a great apartment while in Utah. So, we flew back to Wisconsin on Sunday, packed our things and left Tuesday morning. We had a great drive home, stopping in Nauvoo to see the pageant and to go the the temple. We made it home on Friday afternoon and moved into our new place on Saturday. (There are a lot of pictures to come!)
I have to say that it has been a great relief to be home in Utah. We had a good experience this summer, and did a TON of traveling (Portland to Utah to Wisconsin to Georgia to Wisconsin to Utah to Wisconsin to Utah), but boy are we ready to settle down. We absolutely love our apartment and have been able to do a lot of painting and updating. We're excited to be able to make this place our home for the next 2 or 3 years. It feels so good knowing we'll actually be staying in 1 place for longer than 4 months. It's so great to be near family and friends, and to actually have time to spend together instead of having Mike coming home at 10pm every day.
I want to hear the long story. I'm excited to move back to Utah too. What are you going to be doing that you are both back there?
ReplyDeleteHow nice! I loved that feeling as well. We did sales for the first two summers we were married. I hate that schedule! But it's such great money too. I didn't know you had a blog! Glad I found it:) Anyway, your pictures are cute and I'm glad we can keep in touch!
