This summer we...
-Celebrated my graduation from BYU.
-Had to spend 21 days apart while I was on tour with The Dancers' Company in the Midwest. Mike drove to Portland and spent those 3 weeks working alone until I got there.
-Lived in Portland for 4-6 weeks. (That city is one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen)
-Decided to move to Wisconsin to improve work results.
-Drove through Idaho and went to Christie and Jake Burdis' wedding in the Idaho Falls Temple.
-Drove through Utah to visit family and drop of stuff before driving to Wisconsin.
-Flew to Georgia to see Kelly marry my cousin Brad in the Atlanta Georgia Temple.
-Flew back to Wisconsin and spent another 4-6 weeks in Brookfield/Milwaukee.
-Flew to Utah to see Amy and Jorgen get married in the Mt. Timpanogos Temple.
-Found an apartment in Orem
-Decided we needed to be back in Utah (my health needed a lot of attention, things were still not going as well as we liked, and we really wanted Mike to have a good secure job when school
started)
-Flew back to Wisconsin to pack our stuff to move home
-Left Wisconsin and drove through Nauvoo
-Stayed 2 days in Nauvoo (saw the Pageant and the sites and went to the Nauvoo Temple)
-Drove another 12 hours to Wyoming (stayed the night)
-Made it home
-Moved into our apartment (lost our bed rails)
-Decided to paint the whole place (every wall and cupboard)
-Went to the rodeo for July 24th
-Celebrated my 23rd birthday
-Got our friends Brett and Kari to sign for the apartment next door
-Spent 2 full weeks painting and unpacking (still more to do)
I want to figure out how many total miles we traveled this summer (I also drove to, around, and from the midwest (Wisconsin, Iowa, Michigan and Minnesota) before the craziness even began. Now we're waiting to hear about Mike's job this week, and also getting ready for school and work to start in a couple weeks. My brother Jesse is also getting home in 2 weeks from his 2 year mission in Guatemala! Yay! (The following pictures start where we left off, with the others that we've posted already)

Wow.. what a summer! What is going on with your health? I hope you are in Utah for a while! We are moving back next summer.
ReplyDeleteHey Chalece! Well, the doctor couldn't find anything seriously wrong but they say it might be some kind of heart weakness that only a specialist would be able to find. So for now we're just hoping we can wait a little while until we have to check anything else. But yes, we'll be in Utah for at least 3-5 more years! It will be great to have you back!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Chalece... WOW! What a summer! I can't believe you traveled so much. I was sad to miss Amy and Jorgen's wedding reception. Jorgen is an old Tucson friend of my husband's and our travel plans we just missed everything. You and Mike are so great lookin' together.
ReplyDeleteYou have been busy! But it looks like so much fun! I miss those days of traveling with out kids and being able to do it so often! I hope your health is better in Utah! Sorry you have to go thorough that. It was fun to see you at the reunion! Hope you have a great day!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a busy, exciting, and fun summer! I hope everything is OK with your health! Love ya!
