Yesterday was Mothers' Day.
My first official one.
I mean to write, but it ended up being quite a busy day.
My sweet husband made me breakfast in bed,
we went to church,
and then spent the remainder of the day visiting our mothers.
I just wanted to express how grateful I am to be a mother. Being a mother has given me the opportunity to get a glimpse of the immense love that our Heavenly Father has for all of His children. It's a love that I cannot even begin to describe because there are no words to describe such a deep, true, real love. Similarly, the love I feel for my son is impossible to express through words. All I can do is thank my Heavenly Father for sending such a precious boy into our home and into our care. And then I just have to try my very hardest to love him, teach him, and care for him as best I can.
I am so grateful for a mother who taught me everything I know. She has been an incredible example of selfless love and patience. She never thinks of herself, and she is always giving to those around her. Someday I hope I can be as good of a mother as she is. Thank you mom, for teaching me, by example, how to be a mother.
